SPRING HOPE - Sam Tyson, age 85, passed away Thursday morning, March 21, 2019.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie and Elba Taylor Tyson; brothers, Frank Tyson and William "Bill" Tyson; and sister, Mary Mathews.

He leaves a lifetime of wonderful memories for his devoted wife of sixty years, Glen Tyson; daughter, Lynn Cook and her husband, Kenny of Spring Hope; grandchildren, Brett Cook of Spring Hope, and Holly Cousins and her husband, Drew of Danville, Va. He also leaves brothers, Clarence Tyson and Terry Tyson and his wife, Linda, all of Spring Hope, and Tim Tyson and his wife, Ann of Savannah, Ga., sister, Annie Manning of Nashville; and sister-in-law, Vada Tyson of Sharpsburg; along with a host of nieces, nephews, family friends and extended relatives.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 23 at Oakdale Cemetery in Spring Hope. The family will greet friends immediately following the service and other times at the home.
