Roper –

Sandra Poe, age 71, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 31, 2025. She was born on April 28, 1954 in Washington County to Rex and Barbara Swain. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Swain.

She leaves a lifetime of memories for her children, Billy Sloan, Jr. of Roper and Sonya Sloan Burton of Indian Land, SC; grandchildren, Amanda Burton, Rachel Small (Will) and Haven Sloan; great-granddaughter, Kinsleigh Rougier; siblings, Rex Swain, Jr. (Debbie) of Roper, Debra Garrett of Plymouth and Terri Graham (Bill Fries) of Elm City. Sandra will also be missed by several nieces, nephews and other extended relatives.

A private memorial will be held at a later date.
