Rocky Mount -

Sarah "Sallie" R. Imke, age 77, of Rocky Mount, NC passed away January 9, 2022.  Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Christ Covenant Church located at 3124 Belmont Lake Drive, Rocky Mount, NC followed by a service beginning at 2:00 PM.  Service will conclude with a burial at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.

Sallie loved her chosen profession as a Registered Nurse.  She worked for Nash General Hospital as a Home Health Nurse for Nash and Edgecombe Counties and as the Nurse for the city of Rocky Mount.  Sallie also was a volunteer chaplain with Nash General Hospital and loved visiting with the patients and sharing her love for Jesus.  Sallie touched many lives in the community and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include husband, Christopher "Pete" Imke; sisters-in-law, Patsy Lane of Tarboro and Helen Rudd of Acworth, Georgia; nieces, Catherine R. Luce, Michelle R. Stiller, Pattie Lane and their families; nephews, Larry Lane, Thomas C. Rudd and their families.
