Shirley Ann Gardner Lynn, age 71, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022 at Vidant Edgecombe Hospital. She was born on March 20, 1950 in Edgecombe County to Edgar and Pauline Moore Gardner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Joseph Lynn, Sr.; son, Joseph Lynn, Jr.; grandparents, Maybell "Mamie" Gardner; and siblings, Susie Gardner, Edgar Gene Gardner, and Jackie Gardner.

She is survived by her daughter, Chrystal Sears (Stanley, Jr.) of Pinetops; siblings, Betsy House (Wilbur) of Crisp, Linda Smith (Jerry) of Speed, Jeanette Price (Gordon) of Crisp, Mary Jo Cobb of Crisp, Dennis Gardner (Melissa) of Pinetops, and William "Pee Wee" Gardner (Shelby) of Tarboro; grandchildren, Cole Sears (Gracelyn) of Macclesfield, Savannah Sears of Pinetops, and Joseph Lynn, III of Crisp; and great-grandson, Landon Cole Sears.

A celebration of Shirley's life will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 3:00 PM at 231 Sterling Road, Pinetops, NC.
