Williamston -

Stanley W. Sears, Jr., age 50, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, October 29, 2024. He was born in Halifax County on December 26, 1973, the only son born to Stanley and Janie Flanagan Sears. He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley W. Sears, Sr; parents-in-law, Joseph and Shirley Lynn; maternal grandmother, Martha White and paternal grandmother, Lillian Hackney.

He is survived by his children, Stanley "Cole" Sears (Gracelyn Lauren Keel) of Williamston and Savannah Michelle Sears (Gabe Green) of Macclesfield; mother, Janie Flanagan of Williamston; grandson, Landon Cole Sears; siblings, Janet Sears and Debra Pierce, both of Williamston; mother of his children, Chrystal Lynn Sears; fiancée, Mary Blum; along with multiple nieces, nephews and other extended relatives.

The family will host a Celebration of Life from 12-5pm on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at The Corner Venue, 1203 W Northern Blvd, Tarboro, NC 27886.
