Rocky Mount –

Stephen "Steve" Allison, age 77, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Nash UNC Health Care in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. He was born on January 12, 1947 in Suffolk, Virginia.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Myrtle Allison; sister, Robin Rountree; brother, David Allison and grandson, Joshua Henry.

He is survived by his loving family including his wife, Geraldine "Gerri" Allison; daughter, Kristen Shaffer (David) of Holiday, FL; sons, Eric Allison, also of Holiday, FL and Kevin Allison of Phoenix, AZ; siblings, Walter Allison (Joan) of Franklin, VA, Patricia Harrell of Knightdale, Fred Allison of Smithfield, VA and Robert "Bob" Allison of Virginia Beach, VA and grandson, Jason Duchene (Jasmine) of Phoenix, AZ.

Steve will also be missed by his mother-in-law, Joan B. Sheppard; brothers-in-law, Jeff Sheppard and Dan Sheppard (Catherine); sister-in-law, Jennifer Hartman (Pern); five nieces, seven nephews and a host of other extended relatives.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
