Susan Carroll Wood, age 67, went Home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Thursday afternoon, February 9, 2023 at UNC Rex Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was born on October 12, 1955 in Harnett County, NC to Roy Lee and Christine Henderson Carroll, both of whom preceded her in death.

Susan leaves a lifetime of treasured memories for her loving husband, Gary L. Wood; five children, Tina Hodges (Michael), Deborah Wood Carpenter (Jim), Michael Wood (April), Christopher Wood (Lisa), and Greg Wood (Nicole); and three brothers, Mark Carroll (Anne), Glenn Carroll (Tonya), and Ronnie Carroll (Joyce). She was a beloved Granny to her six grandchildren, Brittany Carroll, Kaci Wood, Cameron Wood, Carson Wood, Abigail Wood and Ava Barraclough and two great grandchildren, Isabelle Wood and Tatum Wood. Susan will also be deeply missed by a host of nieces and nephews; her devoted church family; along with many caring friends and other extended relatives.

A service to honor God and celebrate Susan's wonderful life will be held at 11:00AM Monday, February 13, 2023 at Harvest Baptist Church, 2325 Old Mill Rd, Rocky Mount, NC.

The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 10:00AM.
