Thomas Edward "Fast Eddie" Andrews, age 69, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 12, 2023. He was born in Edgecombe County on December 11, 1953, only child of Thomas and Ethel White Andrews, both of whom preceded him in death.

He leaves behind a lifetime of memories for his son, Robert D. "Booger" Andrews and wife, Nicky of Whitakers; grandchildren, Sarah M. Andrews, Abigail G. Andrews, both of Tarboro, Autumn E. Andrews and Hunter C. Andrews, both of Whitakers; and great-grandchildren, Addison L. Williams and Easton M. Proctor. Eddie will also be missed by special friends, Greg Bottoms, Mike Robbins, Bruce Edwards, Frankie Winslow, Joe White and Mike Stanley.

Eddie was an avid dirt racing fan, frequenting County Line Raceway. He truly enjoyed helping people which was showcased during his time as a volunteer fireman and when he would work over the summer at the Bogue Inlet Pier in Emerald Isle, assisting with the annual fireworks. Eddie also found joy in nature by hunting, fishing and being at the beach. He had a deep love for his family and friends and will be dearly missed.

A Celebration of Eddie's Life will be held on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at 3:00PM at Tarboro Church of God, 908 W. St. James Street, Tarboro, NC 27886. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2:00PM.
