Pinetops -

Tina Renee Owens, age 48, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022. She was born on November 7, 1973, in Edgecombe County. She was preceded in death by her mother, Joan Griffin and brother, Jeff Griffin.

She is survived by her husband, Matthew Owens of Pinetops; daughter, Katelyn Forehand of Rocky Mount; father, Clifton Griffin of Wilson; sister, Angela Slavin of Pinetops; and brother, Clifton Ray Griffin of Elm City.

The family will host a memorial service on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at 2:00 PM at The United Church of Jesus Christ, 921 US 64 Alternate East, Tarboro, NC 27886.  Friends will be received immediately following the service, and other times at the home of Angela Slavin.
