Vernon "Dale" Glover, age 63, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, NC. Dale was born on February 8, 1959 in Nash County to Hillard and Naomi Winstead Glover. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Winstead, Glenn Glover, Woody Glover, and Gary Glover.

He is survived by his sister, Brenda Glover Bailey and husband, Dennis of Spring Hope; sister-in-law, Phyllis Glover of Rocky Mount; nephews, Christopher Bailey of Spring Hope and Dennis Wayne Bailey of Bailey; niece, Shannon Lewis of Middlesex; five great nieces and his beloved canine companion, Cesar.

Dale worked for NCDOT as a road sign installer until his retirement and was a true definition of a hard-worker. He easily made friends due to his outgoing personality and had a smile to brighten up any room. The family extends much appreciation and gratitude for the care received at Nash UNC Health Care and also at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Dale will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

The family will host a memorial service on Saturday, September 24, 2022, 2:00 PM, at Grace Community Fellowship Church, 6525 Schooners Road, Bailey, NC 27807.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations to help with funeral expenses.
