Vicki Jean Covington, age 70, passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at Nash UNC Health Care in Rocky Mount, NC. She was born on March 8, 1952, in Richmond County, NC. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Reese Smith and brothers, Ricky and Ledon Smith.

She is survived by her son, Sean Covington and wife, Robyn of Rocky Mount; father, William Smith and wife, Sarah of Moncure; fiancé, Billy Dixon of Rockingham; brother, Shannon Smith and wife, Robin of Pittsboro; grandchildren, Cameron and Mackenzie Covington; along with several friends and extended family members.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 26, 2022, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at The Church of God, 2129 Lawrence Circle, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.

A Celebration of Life service will be held in Rockingham, NC.  Arrangements will be announced when available.
