With her devoted family by her side, Virginia Parker Tharrington, age 93, passed away peacefully at her home Friday morning, October 2, 2020.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee and Mary Stansbury Parker; brother, Robert Lee Parker Jr.; and sister-in-law, Joy Parker.

Virginia is survived by her children, Faye Hill (Robert) of Rocky Mount, Debbie Edwards of California and Randy Tharrington (Nell) of Temperance Hall; and nephew, Robert Lee "Robbie" Parker, III. She was especially proud of her grandchildren, Joshua Hill, Joey Hill (Cari), Bobby "Boe" Edwards (Rhonda), Tina Nunez, Stacey Nunez, Hope Choplin (Eric), and Scott Tharrington; great-grandchildren, Ella, Sophia, Ayden, Aaron, Lindsey, Joel, Serenity, Natalie, Mikey, Khloe, Joey, and Gage; and two great-great-grandchildren, Jaylin and Emilee.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Virginia's wonderful life at a graveside service, 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at Hollister Methodist Church Cemetery, 174 Main St., Hollister.  The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
