Walter Russell Beddingfield, age 85, passed away peacefully in his home Sunday morning, January 17, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Neva Brantley Beddingfield; brothers, Earl C. Beddingfield and Bill C. Beddingfield; sisters, Mary Alice Hamrick and Bobbie Parker.

He is survived by a loving family that includes his wife, Faye Keen Beddingfield; children, Timothy W. Beddingfield (Anna) of Raleigh and Janet L. Beddingfield of Rocky Mount; sister, Dorothy Gardner of Cary; grandchildren, Lauren N. Baker and Chloe E. Beddingfield.

Mr. Beddingfield was a proud veteran having served honorably in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed being an active member of Calvary Baptist Church for twenty-five years where he also served as a Sunday school teacher and deacon.

Due to the unfortunate circumstances stemming from the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and efforts to maintain good health and safety for all, funeral services will remain private for family only.
