Walter Frank Lynn, Jr., age 75, passed away Monday, April 27, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter F., Sr. and Nellie Worrell Lynn. Walter was a farmer for most of his life. He also was a contractor for UPS and FedEx for many years. He traveled many miles from South Carolina to North Carolina, from the mountains to the coast. He made friends everywhere he went and never met a stranger. Walter loved the Lord and never hesitated to ask about someone's salvation. He wanted to make sure everyone knew how to get to Heaven.

Walter leaves behind a lifetime of treasured memories with his wife of fifty-three years, Faye Johnson Lynn; three daughters, Shannon Medlin (John), Kimberly Lynn Stewart, all of Rocky Mount, and Angela Johnson (Chris) of Sims. He is also survived by six siblings, Joseph Lynn, Ella Mae Curlings, Faye Barnes (Irvin), all of Rocky Mount, David Lynn (Tammy) of Bailey,  Dianna Flood (Jimmie) of Hobgood and Nellie Patterson of Newport.  He was especially blessed with seven granddaughters, Ashlea and Amanda Smith, Anna Grace, Abby, and Alaina Stewart, Ava and Allie Johnson, and four step-granddaughters, Ashley, Chelsea, Mandi, and Marianne Medlin.

Walter's immediate family will gather for a private celebration of his life and time to honor his memory. A Memorial Celebration for family, friends, and neighbors will be announced at a later date.
