Elm City -

Walter "Tom" Price, age 87, passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Accordius Health in Wilson, NC. He was born on December 17, 1934, in Wayne County, NC to Walter and Sudie Ruffin Price. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jesse, Norman, and John Price; sister, Lucy Whitehead; and great-granddaughter, Dolly Easter.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Geraldine Price of Elm City; son, Braxton Price (Lisa) of Elm City; grandchildren, Amanda Easter (Kenny) and Brittany Bunn (Dakota), all of Elm City; and great-grandchildren, Shelby, Jackson, and Ava Easter, and Allen Bunn.

Tom enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening. He also enjoyed old cars as well as spending time with his family. Known as "Turtle" to his grandchildren, Tom will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 2800 Nash Street - North, Wilson, NC. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, from 6:00PM - 8:00PM at Bethany Baptist Church, 704 Batchelor Road, Sharpsburg, NC 27801.
