Rocky Mount -
William Douglas Edwards, age 88, passed away peacefully at his home early Tuesday morning, November 2, 2021. Doug was born in Johnston County, North Carolina on August 6, 1933 to Uyles and Clara Pollock Edwards. He is survived by his wife, Betty Ann Edwards of the home; son, Doug Edwards of Red Oak; step-children, Timothy Rackley and Kimberly Sherrod and husband, Rex; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, along with friends, neighbors and other extended relatives.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, November 4, at 11:00 AM at Pineview Cemetery in Rocky Mount. The family will greet friends immediately following the service
