William "Bill" David Keen, Jr., 72, of Macclesfield, NC passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on March 1, 2024.

Bill was born to William David Keen and Katie Ruffin Keen on August 9, 1951 in Wilson, NC. Bill worked for Brewer Paint and Wallpaper Company as a foreman for over twenty years. He then started his own company, Keen Paint, LLC from which he retired in 2015. He loved singing and writing music, especially gospel music. He enjoyed ministering through his music by playing for rest homes, churches, and also through social media. He loved guitars and mastered the art of building his own. Other hobbies he enjoyed were fishing, hunting, boating and spending time with his family.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Katie Keen; his first son, William David "Little Willie" Keen, III and his very special fur babies, Teddy Bear and Fefe.

He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-five years, Brenda Wooten Keen; daughter, Gail Holloman (David); sons, Scott Keen and William David Keen, IV (Cyndi); granddaughter, Amy Lynn (Dillon); great-grandchildren, William Lynn and Lily-Anna Lynn; close family friend, John Barnes and his fur grandbabies, Gracie, Oliver and Trixie.

Bill was a very hardworking, kind, honest and generous man. He was a devoted husband, wonderful daddy and amazing Pa. He loved his family and the Lord with all of his heart. Bill Loved telling the world about Jesus through his gospel songs. If you have ever met him, he likely invited you to visit his YouTube channel, @billkeen9489, where he witnessed for the Lord through song.

A service will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 7:00pm at Davis-Little Funerals, 2129 Lawrence Circle, Rocky Mount, NC 27804. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 6:00pm. A committal will take place on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 11:00am at Edgecombe Memorial Park, Hwy 258, Tarboro, NC 27886.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Webb's Chapel Baptist Church, P.O. Box 336, Macclesfield, NC 27852 in memory of Bill Keen. The family will forever be grateful to them for providing him with an access ramp.
