William Eugene Watson, 76, passed away on Sunday morning, September 13, 2020.  Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, William and Margaret Watson; brother, Sherwood Hinson; and wife, Janice Cone Watson.  He is survived by his siblings, Jeannette Overton (Bill) of Rocky Mount, Edwin Watson (Martha) of Whitakers, and Brenda Batchelor (Duane) of Wilmington.  He will also be missed by numerous cousins and extended family in the Elm City and Wilson County area.

A service to celebrate and cherish Eugene's life will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Elm City.   The family will receive friends immediately after the service.
