Wilmer Howard "W.H." Stewart, age 97, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at his home. He was born in Edgecombe County to Howard and Etta Bulluck Stewart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances E. Stewart and sisters, Elizabeth S. Ward and Mavis S. Blackman.

He is survived by his daughter, Frances S. Stafford (Harold) of Elm City; son, Charlie B. Stewart (Renee) of Rocky Mount; grandchildren, Paul B. Stewart (Devin) of Winterville, Crystal S. Sullivan (Wayne) of Nashville and Will S. Stafford (Shannon) of Elm City; great-grandchildren, Graysen and Ethan Stewart and Abigail and Elizabeth Sullivan.

A graveside service will be Sunday, April 2, 2023 at 2:00PM at Pineview Cemetery, Rocky Mount. The family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at the home of Charlie and Renee Stewart.
