Albert Grant Obituary

Greenville -

Albert McCauley Grant, 53, died at Vidant Medical Center on January 28, 2021.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Mary Bell Grant.

He is survived by his daughter, Tracey Foreman (Jason) of Washington, NC and son, Brian Viverette, also of Washington; grandchildren, Miley Grant, Emma and Chase Foreman, and Jaxson Viverette; sister, Betty Grant of Greenville; and brother, Rufus Riley (Vivian) of Rocky Mount along with extended family and friends.  Albert was a proud veteran who served his country for four years in the U.S. Navy.

Albert was an active member of University Church of God in Greenville.  He loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and he was a willing and dedicated servant.  He served the church in a volunteer capacity and was always willing to help out in any way he could.  He served faithfully, willingly, and joyfully, expecting nothing in return for his service.  He was a living example of Philippians 2:3, "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves". (New International Version)

A memorial service with military honors will be held Saturday, February 6, 2021, at 11AM, at University Church of God, 2215 B Stokes Road, Greenville, NC 27858.  The family will begin receiving friends at 10AM.
