Alfred Dennis Turco

Rocky Mount - 

Alfred "Dennis" Turco, husband, father, brother, papa, and friend, was born on May 22, 1945 and went home to his Lord and Savior on April 11, 2024, at the age of 78.

In 1963, Dennis graduated from Davis High School in Mount Vernon, New York. He then went on to work in maintenance, owned a restaurant/deli, and finished out his career working as a millwright.

Dennis was a hard-worker, who always showed up hours before his shift started.

He adored his wife of 37 years and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was always interested in what was going on in our lives and wanted everyone to feel welcome in his home.

Cooking for his family and creating an abundant spread of food brought great joy to him. His lasagna and meatballs were two of his most requested dishes. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, reading, and taking long walks with his dog, Maggie.

There are many wonderful memories that he left us to treasure and carry in our hearts.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred M.Turco and Irene Lewis Turco and his brother, Gary Turco.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Ann Turco, his brother Preston Turco (Evelyn), his sister Rose Turco (Craig). His children, Robert Turco (Marlene), Dawn Turco Vecchio (Sal) Toni Lynn Turco Stratford (Jim), Scotty Patterson, Rocky Patterson (Cindy), Tracy Patterson Weatherford (Robert), eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family will host a Celebration of Life on Saturday morning, April 27, 2024 at Parkwood Baptist Church, 1731 Hunter Hill Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27804. Visitation will begin at 10:00 with a service to follow at 11:00.
