NASHVILLE –
Pastor Allen Wayne Williams, age 56, passed away peacefully in his home Thursday morning, July 22, 2021. He was welcomed into Heaven by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ following a seven month battle with pancreatic cancer.
Allen was born January 29, 1965 in Richmond, Va as the second child to John and Gladys Williams. At age ten, Allen felt called by God to spread the Gospel and preached his first sermon at age thirteen. On December 16, 1995, he married the love of his life, Debbie, and began his pastoral training shortly after at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina. He graduated in December, 2000 with a Masters in Divinity and began pastoring his first church the following January where he served for 13 years before becoming pastor at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Nashville.
Allen was preceded in death by his parents, John and Gladys, and his wife, Debbie. He is survived by his three daughters, Rainey and her husband,Sam of Creedmoor, and Rebekah and Rachel Williams, both of Nashville; brother, Larry and his wife, Linda; sister, Cindy and her husband, Mark and their son, Marcus; grandsons, Connor and Jackson of Creedmoor; along with numerous members of his extended family and friends.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, July 25, 2021 at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 1703 Reges Store Road, Nashville, NC 27856. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 noon. Interment will take place at 11:00 am, Monday, July 26 at Pineview Cemetery, Rocky Mount.
