Alvis W. Peaden

Alvis Woodrow Peaden, age 64, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 14, 2024 at his home in Pinetops, NC. He was born in Edgecombe County on September 15, 1960 to Russell and Lela Padgett Peaden. He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Peaden; sister-in-law, Neva Peaden; niece, Brianna Peaden and aunt, Hazel Padgett.

He leaves a lifetime of treasured memories for his wife of thirty-three years, Molly Waters; sons, Andrew Peaden and Matthew Peaden (Shannon Webb), all of Tarboro; mother, Lela Peaden of Mildred; grandchildren, Zoe Peaden and baby girl Peaden, due in January; siblings, Victor Taylor (Susan) of Conetoe, Diane Scott (Randy) of Mildred, Donald Peaden of Arlington, VA, Ronald Peaden of West Jefferson, NC and Brenda Summerlin (Willie) of Mildred. He will also be missed by his mother and father-in-law, Armon W. and Jean Waters of Pinetops; along with several nieces, nephews and other extended relatives.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at the mausoleum at Edgecombe Memorial Park, Hwy 258, Tarboro, NC 27886. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
