Andrew Saul Jackson

Pinetops - Andrew Saul Jackson, age 66, passed away at the ECU Medical Inpatient Hospice Unit on Friday, October 18, 2024.  
Born in Newport News, Va on November 12, 1957, Andrew was preceded in death by his father, John T. Jackson; brothers, Ronnie Eugene "Buddy" Jackson, Albert Junior "Junebug" Jackson; sisters, Dora Mae Jackson Butts and Connie Gail Jackson Evans.

As a career tractor-trailer driver, Andrew was employed by E&M Contracting as a CDL company driver.  He loved being behind the steering wheel of an 18-wheeler.  While spending many hours on the road, he learned to appreciate the breathtaking beauty and variety of God's creation. He also enjoyed connecting with the trucking community and exchanging stories while refueling at the truck-stops. 

Customer service was a top priority as he took great pride in making sure deliveries were accurate and on time.  He was one of many who selflessly dedicated his working life to the industrial backbone of our country.

Andrew is survived by his mother, Ella Mae Horne Bass and special friend of many years, Rene (Rennie) Pate Adams.  He will also be missed by his nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews, as well as many friends and other extended relatives.

The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
