Barbara Jean (Jackson) Landis

Nashville - 

Barbara Jean Jackson Landis, age 87, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Monday night, March 27, 2023. Her journey began in Nash County, daughter of Leslie and Essie May Jackson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Ralph Cooper and Bill Landis; brother, Joe Jackson and sister, Cathy. 

She is survived by her son, Mark Cooper (Holly); grandchild, Jordan Cooper; step-sons, Bobby Landis (Sharon) and Billy Landis (Dee); step-granddaughters, Mary Katherine Landis and Allison Webb (Freddie Lane); step-great-granddaughter, Isla Webb; special caregivers, Bruce and Arlene Ellis; along with several nieces and nephews. 

She lived with her caregivers, Bruce and Arlene Ellis for a number of years. They took wonderful care of Barbara until her passing. Barbara retired from Centura Bank after many faithful years of service. She attended Harvest Baptist Church and loved her Lord and looked forward to being with him one day. She enjoyed watching westerns, watching the movie "Pretty Woman", and listening to Christian music. Barbara had a beautiful smile and a heart to match; she will be deeply missed by those who knew her.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00PM at Pineview Cemetery, Rocky Mount, NC on Friday, March 31, 2023 with Pastor Gary Wood officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
