Carolyn Dianne Davis, 68, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 24, at Nash UNC Health Care, Rocky Mount.

She was born September 03, 1953, to James Kenneth and Annie Fulford Lee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Davis; brother, William Fulford; sister, Mary Anne Fulford; grandson, Kaden Davis; and great-grandparents, Elsie "Granny" & Wesley "Pap" Williams.

Dianne is survived by her daughter and best friend, Shanon Michelle Davis (Shannon Johnson) of Collierville, Tennessee; sons, Donald Davis (Tracy), Brian Davis (Patricia Bridgers), Phillip Horchler, Dale Horchler, all of Nashville, NC; ex-husband, Brydon Horchler; grandchildren, Elizabeth Davis, Wayne Sherrod, Amber Sherrod, Taylor Mills, Brandon Mullinix, Zoie Michella Leigh, Caitlyn Anderson, Brilen Anderson, Hannah, Victoria, Travis, Skylar, Blake, D.J., and Destiny Davis, Waylon and Phillip Horchler Jr., and Kayla Randall; great-grandchildren, Kaine Alexander Lee King, Bentley Davis, Abby Allen, Sadie Anderson, Maverick Strickland, Trevor and Athena Sherrod, Phoenix Mills, and Zerimar Ramirez; and sisters, Rosa Landen (Tim), and Wanda Manning; along with a host of family friends and other extended relatives.

Dianne loved gardening; she enjoyed being outside surrounded by the beauty and nature created by God. A treasured part of her life was her loyal canine companion, a pit bull named Cinnamon, but simply referred to as "Cin".  They loved each other unconditionally. Dianne enjoyed the simple things of life. One of the happiest times in her life was when she and her daughter, Michelle, visited and toured the Graceland property in Memphis, Tennessee.    

A visitation with family and friends will be held on Friday, August 5, 2022, from 7:00 PM - 8:30PM at The Church of God, 2129 Lawrence Circle, Rocky Mount, NC. A private burial will be held at the Davis Family Cemetery.
