Charles Edward Turner, age 72, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father, Marion M. Turner; brothers, David and Mike Turner and the mother of his children and friend, Brenda Lancaster Turner. 

He is survived by his children, Charles E. Turner, Jr. (Kimberly) of Nashville, Frankie Turner Williams (Kevin) of Rocky Mount and Matthew Brent Turner (Megan), also of Rocky Mount; mother, Julia Christine Turner DeShields; siblings, Barbara Meyer (Mike) of Creedmore, Lloyd W. Turner (Rhonda) of Rocky Mount and Julia Faye Worrell (CT), also of Rocky Mount. He will also be missed by his grandchildren, Charles "Tripp" Turner, III, Michael Seth Turner, Hay'leigh Turner, Rachel Williams, Chase Williams, Kayden Turner and Mattie Turner and great-grandchildren, Ollie and Waylon Turner. 

The family will host a memorial service at 3:00pm on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Nashville Church of God, 606 S Clark St, Nashville, NC 27856. Visitation with friends will be prior to the service beginning at 2:00pm.
