Chris Mott

Spring Hope –

Chris “Superman” Mott, age 50, has gone to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, January 5, 2024. He was born in Lockport, New York on December 7, 1974. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Edmond Mott, Sr. and brother, Joseph E. Mott.

He is survived by his life partner, Denise Edwards; children, Sebastian Clancy (Alexis) of North Tonawanda, NY, Alyssa Clancy (Terry), Dakota Brock-Mott, both of Lockport, NY, William “Jaxon” Mott of Rocky Mount, Matthew Tyson (Erik) of Virginia, Daniel Tyson (Diana) of Nashville, and Katie Perry (Al) of Wilson; mother, Ann Richau, also of Rocky Mount and grandchildren, Veronica and Ford Coleman and Eleanor, Jadon and Addison. Chris will also be missed by his siblings, Jerry Mott, Jr. (Karen), Mona L. Mott, all of Rocky Mount, Robert Mott (Melissa) of Hartland, NY, John Mott (Victoria) of Tennessee and Crystal Pyle of Texas; along with several nieces, nephews and other extended relatives.

Chris was loving, kind and always willing to help anyone unconditionally. Even as a kid, he was full of spunk, smiles and had a sense of humor. When he saw you, if his smile was huge and his eyes were filled you knew that he loved you and we all loved him back. You could go years without seeing or speaking to him and you could still feel the love and compassion he had for you.   

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
