Cody Matthew Brawner, age 34, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2025. He was born on September 25, 1991 in Durham, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his cousin, Brittany Brawner.

He is survived by his father, Miles Brawner of Zebulon; mother, Mary Jo Clayton of Asheboro; daughter, Phoebe Brawner of South Carolina; aunts, Marie Maples of Beauregard, Alabama and Crystal Pietrowicz (Joe) of West Bath, Maine; uncles, Fred Brawner of Garner, Archer Brawner of Dunn and Hans Brawner of Hernando, Florida; cousins, Rachel Roop of Youngstown, Florida and Eric Pietrowicz of New Hampshire; along with the many friends made within the music community.

A private memorial will be held at a later date.
