Crystal Wallace, 47, was called home on September 4, 2021. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 7:00 pm at Owens Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, 6204 Webb Lake Road, Elm City, NC, 27822. The family will receive visitors at other times at the home of Joyce Parker, 108 2nd Street, Macclesfield, NC 27852.

Crystal was born July 8, 1974 in Edgecombe County. She was preceded in death by her father, Greg Parker and “Papa”, J.C. Parker.

Left to cherish Crystal’s memory are “Mama” Joyce Parker; daughter, Ashley Wallace; son, Joshua Wallace; daughter-in-law, Hayley Wallace; former husband, Darin Wallace; brother, Gregory Parker; sister, Cierra Parker; grandchildren, Marley and Gracelynn Williams, Emoni Dupree, J.P. Wallace and soon to be Hayzel Cryslynn Wallace; cousins, Olivia Wainwright, Tracey Best (Todd), Danielle Boswell (Steven); aunts, Rose Wainwright (Phillip), Kim Tyson (Joab); and a host of special friends.

Crystal was a kindhearted and loving person who genuinely loved life and her family. She had a huge heart and loved all children. More times than can be counted, she opened her home to children of all ages and played the role of second mom.

Crystal was a nurse for many years and has touched the hearts of many patients and their family members.  She had a love for taking care of others, most of the time more than taking care of herself.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be appreciated to help with expenses.
