David Lee "DL" Wooten, Jr., formerly of Tarboro, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2022 in Clarksville, TN at age 43. He is survived by his son, Austin Tyler Wooten of Tarboro; mother, Peggy Delores Proctor of Tarboro; father, David Lee Wooten (Judy) of Henderson; brothers, Kenneth Wayne Smith (Mary) of Tarboro, Timothy Wayne Smith (Brandy) of Grimesland, and Alvin Wayne Smith of Tarboro; grandson, Jackson James Johnson; along with many family friends and other extended relatives.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, April 13 at Edgecombe Memorial Park. The family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at the home of Peggy Delores Proctor, 605 Forest Acres Drive, Tarboro, NC.
