Dennis Lee Lloyd, affectionately known as "One Way", passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 24, 2025 at the age of 61. He was born in Newark, New Jersey to Fannie Bell Johnson and Willie Lee Lloyd. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Scottie Junior Lloyd.
Dennis graduated from Rocky Mount Senior High School in 1984. He was a very talented artist and guitar player. His art work and music has been seen and heard everywhere. He was definitely a legend who left his mark here on earth. Dennis had a heart of gold and loved and cherished his family dearly. He was also very devoted to his church family and never missed a beat when it came to them. Dennis was a devoted son, brother, nephew and uncle who deeply loved his nieces and nephews, whom he called his "Bae Bae Kids". Dennis was humble and never complained and always went out of his way to help anyone.
Dennis leaves to cherish his memories and legacy of love, his brother, Randy Lloyd (Kim Stewart) of Rocky Mount; sisters, Denise Williams of the home and Evelyn Howard (Lamont) of Rocky Mount; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, special nieces and nephews and beloved fur baby, Pitt.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.
