Finis "Eddie" Tucker, age 58, passed away on Friday, January 30th, 2026. 

In addition to his mother, Peggy Doughtie and step-father Bennie Doughtie, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Tony Tew, Bobby Joe Tew and Charlie Doughtie; sisters, Lisa Tew, Hilda Tew and Laura Doughtie; son-in-law, Sam Walston, brothers-in-law, Kenny Owens and Gary Owens and mother-in-law, Peggy Mullins Baggett. 

Finis spent his life as a devoted family man, working hard to provide for his family. He was well known for always cooking the best meals and would feed everybody he could. He always made sure to have extra plates available for family, neighbors, and even his co-workers. 

During his time off work, he was sure to be making memories with family on trips, fishing, turkey shoots, cookouts, working in his garden and even tending to chickens at times. He was always proud of the many things he did in life. 

He leaves behind a lifetime of memories for his wife, Brenda Tucker; daughters, Jennifer Hill (Pete) and Kendra Walston; brother, Phillip Doughtie (Hermelinda); brother-in-law, Lee Owens (Gladys); grandchildren, Isaiah, Brayden, CJ, Serenity and Lily; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00pm on Friday, February 6, 2026 at Davis-Little Funerals, 2129 Lawrence Circle, Rocky Mount, NC 27804, and other times at the home of Pete and Jennifer Hill. During this Time of Remembrance, Pastor Don Causey will share Words of Grace and Celebration at 7:00 pm.
