Geraldine (Taylor) Pierce

Geraldine Pierce, age 86, passed away peacefully at her home Friday evening, December 22, 2023. She was born in Edgecombe County July 3, 1937 to Joseph Robert and Mattie Lee Gladson Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of forty-eight years, Sellie "Buddy" Joseph Pierce, Jr.; and sister, Betty Jo Taylor Roebuck.

She is survived by a loving family that includes her daughter, Cindy Pierce (Todd Bandy); sons, Greg Pierce and Craig Pierce, all of Tarboro; sisters, Sally T. Eastwood of Salisbury, Jenny Sult of Tarboro and Roberta Spencer (Vaughan) of Lexington; grandchildren, Josh Cruz and Steven Cruz; along with several nieces and nephews and other extended relatives.

A memorial service to remember and celebrate Geraldine's life will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Tarboro Church of God, 906 W. St. James Street, Tarboro, NC. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 pm.
