Glenda Laverne Morris

Glenda Laverne Morris, age 86, passed away peacefully Monday evening, February 24, 2025 at her home. She was born on September 9, 1938 in Johnston County and was preceded in death by her parents, Lether and Clara Morris; children, Lether "L.C." Hales and James Timothy "Timmy" Hales; siblings, Jennings "J.B." Morris, Agnes Batten, Emmitt Morris, Wilton Morris, Thomas "Tom" Morris. 

She is survived by niece, Judy Bass of Missouri; nephew, David Batten of Florida and her niece and caregiver, Clara Stallings of Bailey. 

Glenda worked at Eaton Corp for twenty-five years and then was a home caregiver for several friends and family. She lived her last seven years with her niece, Clara. When able, she loved traveling and playing softball. 

A private memorial will be held at a later date.
