Harry Donald “Don” Turner, age 76, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital in Tarboro, North Carolina. His journey began in Wilson County on July 3, 1948, son of Harry and Rachel Holloman Turner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Preston, Russell, Paul, Doug, Harold and son-in-law, David Brian Woodard.

He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-seven years, Trudy W. Turner; children, Tammy Turner Woodard of Pikeville, Tracy W. Harrell (Chris) of Fountain and Travis D. Waller of Macclesfield and siblings, Wayne Turner (Diane) of Black Creek, Millard Turner of Columbus, GA, Marie T. Johnson of Lucama and Elizabeth “Lib” Bardin of Wilson.

Don was especially proud of and adored his grandchildren, David Brian Woodard, Jr., Sarah Brooke Worley (Stephen), Brynleigh Esplen Waller and Biancha Lee Webb and great-grandchildren, Addison Grace Worley and Kenzi Blayne Worley.

The family will host a memorial service at 6:30pm on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Cornerstone FWB Church, 4673 Bell Road, Walstonburg, NC 27888. They will receive friends immediately following the service.
