On Tuesday, November 30, 2021, our beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and dear friend finished her journey here on earth and was called Home to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Jeana Hope West came into this world on December 30, 1964 in Edgecombe County as the last child born to Freddie and Barbara Webber West. From the very beginning, Jeana had a vibrant and fun personality and always made friends easily. She graduated from Tarboro High School with the Class of 1983 where she made lasting friendships that she cherished into her adult years. Following her passionate love for children, she owned and operated an in-home daycare for twenty years and was a loving care provider and teacher for the many young children in her charge. Without a doubt, Gabrielle and Luke have been the light of her heart and gave her the most precious role in life....mother. She was devoted to them in every way possible and loved them deeply with every part of her being. She loved sharing special moments with them on fossil digs, visiting butterfly exhibits, playing games, and so many other fun adventures. She found much joy in life's simplest treasures and absolutely adored all things bright and sparkly. Above all else, Jeana loved her Lord and didn't hesitate to share her faith with others. She knew she was simply passing through this life, on the way to her real Home. She would want all of us to know that too. God gifted Jeana with a beautiful smile and warm personality that will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jeana was preceded in death by her father, Freddie West and brother, Allan West. 

She leaves a loving family that includes her children, Gabrielle and Luke Braswell and their dad, Rick Braswell; mother, Barbara Webber West; sisters, Kim Lunsford (Del) and Crystal West, all of Tarboro; her sweet fur baby, Bella; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

Please join family and friends for a special Celebration of Life, 2:00 pm, Sunday, December 5, 2021 at United Christian Ministries, 1402 Woodgreen Road, Tarboro. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 pm. 

While floral tributes are appreciated, a Go Fund Me account has been established to benefit Gabrielle and Luke Braswell for those wishing to make memorial donations.
