Obituary

Nashville -

Jimmy Batchelor, Jr., age 64, passed away Thursday evening, May 18, 2023 at Willow Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Goldsboro, NC.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte; father, James; and mother, Nadine. He is survived by his stepmother, Linda; sister, Maryann (Buddy), brothers Steve, Sam (Sharon), and Robert (Michelle), and several nieces and nephews.

Once you started the conversation with Jimmy, he would never stop talking, and he would keep you laughing the entire time. Jimmy would always plant a garden big enough every year to feed family and friends. Jimmy got great pleasure out of helping those around him.

Jimmy was diagnosed with cancer for the third time last year, and he put up a courageous fight. The family is so thankful for the support that he received from his caregivers. We’re also grateful for family, friends, and pastors that visited with Jimmy and shared the gospel with him. Jimmy recently accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and is now at peace.

A private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of  flowers please make donations to Kitty Askins Hospice Center 107 Handley Park Court Goldsboro NC 27534 or a charity of one’s choice.
