There is no place like home. Jody is now home with Jesus where she belongs. We thank God for blessing us with Jody for 33 years. She was a Daddy’s girl. She radiated love and joy. She had the biggest smile. It was the simple things that made her smile, such as, hearing the birds sing or just hearing her name called. She taught us to love unconditionally. She was truly the love of our lives and made life more beautiful.
Jody Victoria Shearon is the daughter of Jimmy and Laurie Shearon. She is the granddaughter of Roger and Dee Gosselin and the late Horace and Jonnie Bell Shearon. She will be greatly missed by all her aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as many friends, her church family, and her special caregiver, Theresa. We are so thankful for the many people that God has brought into her life to love her.
We have been so blessed to celebrate Jody’s birthday each year with the wonderful ministry of Operation Christmas Child. This is the beautiful way God gave Jody to share the Good News and Great Joy of Jesus to children around the world through something as simple as a shoebox. We thank God for using Jody’s life for good and for His Glory! We believe that, for eternity, Jody will be meeting people whose lives she has touched through this ministry.
Even though the world may not have seen Jody’s future as being bright, God tells us that her future is with Him….just as bright as yours and mine…even brighter than those who have not received Jesus as their Lord and Savior. God offers the gift of salvation through His Son Jesus Christ to ALL who will believe (John 3:16). We pray that ALL will believe!
“Our Sweet Jo Girl”, We thank God for sharing you with us. We are so honored and humbled that God chose us to be your Mama and Daddy. You taught us to fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. Jesus, Our Eternal Glory! Thank you for always pointing us to Jesus. We will miss you deeply but we take great comfort in knowing that you are spending eternity with Jesus. We love you sweet girl and can’t wait to see you again.
