Joseph R. "Joe" Taylor, Jr., age 58, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024 at ECU Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina. He was born in Edgecombe County on April 2, 1966 to Joseph and Aileen Taylor. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his parents-in-law, Ronny and Florence Case. 

He is survived by his wife of almost twenty-three years, Denise R. Taylor; children, Casey, Logan, and Elizabeth Taylor; father, Joseph "Joe" Taylor; siblings, Mary Bunting (John), Michael Taylor and Susan Harris (Phil); nieces, Nikki Taylor and Paige Lane (Josh); great-nephews, Cayden and Jaxson Lane; brother-in-law, Dennis Case; along with several aunts, uncles, family friends, and other extended relatives. 

A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024 at 11:00am at Greenwood Cemetery, Tarboro, NC. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
