Joseph “Joe Jr.” Davenport, Jr., age 62, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2024. He was born in Edgecombe County on August 14, 1962 to Joseph and Alice Braddy Davenport. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, William “Will” Taylor, II.

He is survived by his brother, Kevin Davenport (Donna) of Conetoe; sister, Lisa Pineda (Corey Atkinson) of Pinetops; children, Tiffany Taylor (Jeffrey Peaden, Jr.) of Tarboro and Cameron Cherry of Fountain; niece, Ashley Robinson; grandchildren, Melanie Peaden, Alana Kokoruda, Jeffrey Peaden, III, Damon and Jayden Taylor, and Bristol Hayes, along with many friends and other extended relatives

The family will host a Celebration of Life at 2:00pm, Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Northern Boulevard Baptist Church, 502 E Northern Boulevard, Tarboro, NC 27886. They will receive friends immediately following the service. Floral tributes should be directed to Northern Boulevard Baptist Church.
