Judy Carolyn Griffin

Rocky Mount - 
Under the watchful care of her beloved family, Judy Carolyn Griffin, age 80, completed her journey here on earth and she went to be with her Lord on Thursday afternoon, July 16th 2020.

Judy's time here began December 30, 1939 as a daughter born in Nash County, NC to Charlie and Thelma Eason. Her children called her a "hummingbird" because she worked tirelessly to make sure she had a beautiful home and a well cared for family. She was very compassionate to not just her family, but to all creatures. She spent her life selflessly taking care of others and making wonderful memories for her family and friends to cherish. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Judy is survived by her devoted husband of sixty-three years, Odie Griffin Sr.; son, Donnie Griffin (his spouse, Vicki), son Odie “Butch” Griffin Jr.; daughter, Ginger (her partner, Sylvia), four grandchildren, Christian, Hanna, Sara and Nicholas; nine great-grandchildren; and sisters Janet Gardner, and Beverly Perry. The family would like to extend their special appreciation to family friend, Dr. David Browder along with his staff and the Community Home Care & Hospice team. 

A graveside service will be held at Rock Mount Memorial Park on Tuesday, July 21 at 11:00 am. The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
