Pinetops -
Kenneth G. Atchley, age 55, passed away peacefully in his sleep Monday April 17, 2023. He was born in Lincoln County, Missouri on February 23, 1968. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Atchley and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Catherine Jones (Chris) of Pinetops; siblings, Brian James Atchley, Catherine Elizabeth Proctor (Mark) of Rocky Mount, Christopher Gerald Atchley (Cindy) of Beaufort, Margaret Rebecca Watson of Goldsboro and Richard Alexis Watson of Pinetops; along with several nieces, nephews and friends.
Kenneth was a simple, hard-working man. He took pride in his construction work and loved what he did. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing on the river and cooking on the grill. Kenneth will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and those who knew him.
A memorial garden of beautiful perennials will soon be established in Kenneth's memory. Friends and family are invited to participate and contribute plants to this lasting memorial.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
