Kenneth "Kenny" M. Edwards

Spring Hope - 

Kenneth M. "Kenny" Edwards, age 68, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Sutton's Retirement Center in Goldsboro, North Carolina. He was born on November 17, 1956 in Nash County to Arnold and Doris Murray Edwards. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Faye Edwards. 

He is survived by his daughter, Crystal Kennedy and husband, Robbie; siblings, Ray Edwards and wife, Wendy and Marsha Parker and husband, Jerry, all of Spring Hope; granddaughters, McKenzie and Maura Kennedy and nephew, David Dickinson. 

Kenny enjoyed fishing and spending time with family when he could. Despite struggling with severe mental illness, he had a kind heart that shone through even his darkest times. He will always be remembered as a good man who loved his family and wanted the best for them.

A graveside service will be held at 12:30pm on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Free Union Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, 3454 Macedonia Road, Spring Hope, NC. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 11:00am in the sanctuary. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sutton's Retirement Center Activity Fund, 4258 Hwy 13 N, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
