Lena Mae Talbott, age 95, passed away at Breckenridge Retirement Center on Tuesday, January 5, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sloan and Annie Moss Woodcock; husband, Reverend Joe Talbott; sons, Danny and Robert Talbott; brothers, Aaron, George Ray, and Sydney Woodcock; and sisters, Louise Pittman and Annie Belle Adams.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Myrlene Talbott; grandsons, Bryan and Robbie Talbott; granddaughter, Rebekah Ayscue (Brett); great-granddaughter, Jolene Kellum; great-grandson, Asher Talbott; two special nieces, Gail Joyner and Phyllis Bryant; along with a host of friends and extended family.
Lena enjoyed being a pastor’s wife and a homemaker. She also enjoyed playing the piano, especially for the residents of Breckenridge. She was a loving person and will be missed dearly by her friends and family.
A graveside service to commemorate her life will be held at 2p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family respectfully requests facial coverings and social distancing.
