Lynn Worrell Williams, beloved wife, mother, and retired school teacher, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025. She was surrounded by the love of her family, whom she cherished deeply throughout her life.

She was born on February 24, 1952, in Nash County to Andrew and Evelyn Fuller Worrell. Lynn dedicated her life to nurturing and educating others. After retiring from a rewarding career as a school teacher, she devoted her time and energy to her greatest passions- her family, her church, and her Lord. Her unwavering faith and deep love for her church family were a cornerstone of her life and she touched the hearts of many through her kindness and devotion.

Lynn is survived by her loving husband of forty-eight years, Henry F. Williams, Jr.; sons, Brooks Williams (Jessica), Chad Williams (Nikki), Doug Williams (Kim) and Scott Williams; grandchildren, Zachary Williams (Kirsten), Gage Williams, Brody Williams, Hannah Hudson (Hunter), Matthew Williams (McKenzie), Joshua Williams, Caiden Castillo and Jaxon Williams; great-grandchildren, Piper Williams and Holly Hudson. She will also be greatly missed by all who knew her including a host of extended family, friends, and fellow church members.

The family will host a Celebration of Life service at 5:00pm on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Benvenue Baptist Church, 2464 Benvenue Rd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804, with a time of visitation starting at 4:00pm.   While floral arrangements are welcome, you may consider memorial donations to Benvenue Baptist Church.   

Lynn’s legacy of love, faith and service to others will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
