Margaret Louise (Briggs) Hayes

Margaret Louise Briggs Hayes, age 79, passed away Monday, December 15, 2025 at Tarboro Health and Rehabilitation.  She was born June 25, 1946 one of thirteen children born to Henry Marriott and Maude Lassiter Briggs.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of forty-nine years, Donald Wellington Hayes; sisters, Elizabeth Briggs Bulluck and Anne Briggs Wrenn and her brothers, Lynn, Carl, Rylan, Allen, Bill, Kemp, Joe and Wood Briggs.

She is survived by her brothers, John Briggs and Bob Briggs as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Margaret was a devoted employee, having long and fulfilling careers with both Carolina Telephone Company and QVC. She made life-long friendships and memories within both workplaces.     

A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, December 28, 2025 at Pineview Cemetery, 761 E Raleigh Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27801 with Reverend Donald Cashwell officiating.
