Tarboro -
Marshall Anne Bullock, age 69, passed away Monday, April 3, 2023 in Tarboro, North Carolina.
Marshall entered this life on March 18, 1954 as the youngest daughter born to Forrest and Beulah Armstrong. She grew up in the First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Tarboro where she enjoyed worshipping and serving with her family and friends. She was a creative soul who enjoyed photography, especially photographing beautiful birds and flowers, gardening and a variety of arts and crafts. She was also born with a servant's heart that was put to good use in her devotion to her family and caring for children. She operated "Sail Ahead Christian Preschool and Daycare" for twenty plus years where she educated, nurtured, and loved countless children from the Tarboro/Edgecombe County area. She will be lovingly remembered as "Mrs Marshall" who always had fun outings, teachable moments, bible lessons, yummy snacks, and endless hugs for the little people in her charge. Every child enriched her life and she in turn, adored every single one of them.
Marshall loved her family with every ounce of her being. Joe was her soulmate; her beloved sisters were her roots; and Brandon, Heather and Ethan were her heartstrings. She also deeply cared for her many friends and neighbors, and was grateful for those in her close circles.
In addition to her parents, Marshall was preceded in death by her beloved husband of forty-five years, Joe Bullock and brother-in-law, David Griffin.
She leaves a lifetime of treasured memories for her daughter, Heather Rummel (Ronnie) of Waco,Texas; son, Brandon Joseph Bullock of Tarboro (Jenny Pridgen); grandson, Ethan Bullock Campbell of Waco; sisters, Phyllis Griffin, Pam Dixon (J.T.), all of Tarboro, and Marie Sallee (Donnie) of Wilson; along with many nieces, nephews, family friends and other extended relatives.
