Michael Harris

Michael Harris, age 56, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 10, 2024 at ECU Medical Center in Greenville, NC. He was born on November 23, 1967 in Pitt County. He was preceded in death by his father, Rev Billy Harris; brother, Linwood Alton Jeffreys and nephew, Andy Jeffreys. 

He leaves a heartful of treasured memories for his loving wife of twenty-seven years, Crystal Harris; two precious young sons, William "Billy" Harris and John Harris; parents, Rev. Kenneth and Shirley Harris Dixon of New Bern; sisters, Terry Webb (Clark) of Fountain and Tonya Branch of Greenville; parents-in-law, John and Liz Pottle of Raymond, Maine, along with many family friends and other extended relatives. Michael was a beloved husband, father, son, brother and dear friend. He understood the value of the simpler things in life, most especially spending time with and taking care of his family. Knowing we will see him again brings comfort and reassurance to the many friends and loved ones who will miss him deeply until that day.

 A service to honor God and celebrate Michael's life will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at 7:00pm at Falkland Church of God, 5907 S Main Street, Falkland, NC 27827. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 5:30pm and other times at the home. A graveside committal will follow at 11:00 am, Friday, August 16, 2024 at Macclesfield Cemetery, Macclesfield, NC.
