Just a few days shy of her ninety-third birthday, our beloved Mildred finished her time here on earth and was called Home to be with Jesus.
Mildred Prince Brady was born in Bladen County November 27, 1930. She grew to become a loving daughter, devoted wife, and cherished mother. Her heart was completely dedicated to her family and she loved them all with a special fierceness.
Mildred was preceded in death by her mother, Adell Clewis Prince; sisters, Myrtle Braswell, Lorraine "Raine" Roebuck, Jeanette Brown, Dorothy "Dot" Leonard, Clara Worrell; and brothers, Johnny Ray Prince and Albert Prince.
She leaves a long lifetime of cherished memories for her children, Gloria Bassos and Gary Brady, both of Greenville, Jewel "Renée" Stallings and husband, David of Tarboro, and Lou Gray and husband, Frankie of Farmville; and siblings, Betty Hathaway and Joan Wooten of Tarboro; and brother, Howard Prince (Starr) of Greenville. She was especially proud of her grandchildren, John David Stallings and wife, Leslie of Tarboro, Ben Stallings and wife, Amy of Pinetops, John Cameron Gray and wife, Sarah of Walstonburg, and Gracie Phillips and husband, John Michael of Greenville; and great-grandchildren, Sarah, Mason David, Matthew, and Hunter.
"Mil" will also be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, family friends, and other extended relatives.
A service to remember and celebrate her life will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, November 26, 2023 at His Vision Ministry, 1903 Anaconda Road, Tarboro. Burial will follow at Edgecombe Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 pm, also at His Vision Ministry.
